Looking Ahead #11
We aren’t even two full months into 2021 and I’ve almost completed my ninth book. True, three of those only counted as one for this project, but still. Nine. That’s some damn good progress!
Let’s jump in to the next look ahead where I’ll be updating you on the book I’m currently reading, and answering these questions about the next book on the list:

Currently Reading: Joyland by Stephen King.
My Progress: It’s a short novel, and I’m burning through it – I’ll be done really soon.
Up Next: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, purchased on 4/23/2016.
Why I Purchased This Book: I have no clue. I’m guessing it stemmed from folks telling me that the book was better than the movie.
Why I Haven’t Read This Book: Because I’ve seen the movie? I think it makes the desire to read a story a little less intense when you know what’s going to happen.
How Am I Feeling About Reading This Book: I’m putting this one on a short leash. As I already know the story (I know it probably changed some in translation, but still) there’s an excellent chance I will find it hard to maintain interest. If that happens? Rule Three.
